Ringgold Christmas Parade

"I have been told by my brother that Ringgold's Down Home Christmas Parade is going to be Friday Dec. 2nd.  The parade will start at 6:00pm and to be there as early as you can so that you are towards the front of the parade. If you remember last year we were in the middle and by the time we started, the begining of the parade was already back to the high school."

My hometown parade (LaFayette) turned out to be more of a hassle than it's worth to try to enter, so I'm going to Ringgold.  I know that Kyle and his brother are planning on attending it.  Anyone else?  Kevin, Brian and Amanda, Allen, and Fielding are usually there . . . what about it guys and gals?  Come on!!!  Let's hang some lights on our VWs and have some fun.  :D  Hope to see a BUNCH of you Friday evening in the Ringgold High School parking lot!

I'll try, but no promises.  I'm not sure on Linda's work schedule or Talia's Tae Kwondo schedule. :-k

And as far as Lafayette goes...

We get off work at 4pm so we should be at the High School around 5pm.  We will hold a few spots if we are the first to arrive.

Thanks to everyone who showed up!  We had a good turn-out.  The Coddings led the pack in their bus, followed by Fielding's Herbie, Brian and Amanda were next driving their Bus and towing their bug, Homer the Superbus was next and last, was . . . drumroll please . . . Petunia :!:  Susan and her friend strung at least 1000 multi-colored lights around it and climbed in (literaly - they had lights strung across the doors and couldn't open them) just in time to pull out of the school parking lot.  One block up from the school, Kyle was waiting in the Vanagonagon with the top up and a hugh inflatable snow man on the roof rack.  He pulled in to complete the Volks Folks caravan of 7 VWs!   :D  8)  :D

They had so much fun, Petunia and Homer both drove home with their Christmas lights still attached and lit.  Oh, by the way, if you do this, don't hop out and slam the door without making sure their are no lights and wires hanging in the way.    #-o

Did anyone that was there get any pictures?  I took a camera but didn't even get it out of the case.  :?
