You haven't seen a swap meet until you've been to this one! It's like the swap meets at Bug-A-Paluza + CYW X 10. If you start when the gates open and don't break for lunch you might see most of it . . . if you don't spend a lot time digging through the stuff in boxes and crates. I've been 4 times and I've never had time to look at the show cars.
A couple of times that I went in Homer, we took off from work the week after Bug Jam. We went down on Friday, went to the Bulli Brigade on Saturday, Bug Jam on Sunday, hit the huge flea market at Webster on Monday then drove over to the Orlando area and spent a couple of days visiting some friends and family in St. Cloud then drove over to the east coast and worked our way to Jacksonville to visit Joy's brother. The Saturday after Bug Jam there is a free VW show in the edge of St. Augustine at the St. John's flea market. 1500 miles in a bus, 3 VW shows, 2 huge flea markets, going to several beaches on both coast of FL, walking through the old part of St. Augustine, and visiting friends and family in 2 different towns is a lot to cram into a week, but it's a trip you'll never forget! I don't think I'm feel up to it this year . . . but if we can, I'd like to drive down for the Bulli Brigade/Bug Jam weekend.
