The non-profit Pasco County Fair Association, Inc., would like to thank all who participated in and attended the 2004 Pasco Bug Jam. We had a record number of vehicles --- 436 --- for this 16th annual event and we are looking forward to hosting the 2005 Pasco Bug Jam on Sunday, Nov. 13th.

Yep.  Plans are made and done.  I know that Moose and I are going.  As far as anyone else...?

It's getting a little bit late if motel reservations aren't already made.

Other than Travis and Kevin, I haven't heard anyone say they were going.

Joy and I are going to sit this one out.  I would love to go, but it's just not working out this year.    We've got the week after Bug Jam off, but I can't get off on the Friday before.  I can't see driving all the way to Tampa for just Bug Jam.  If I could make the Bulli Brigade too, I'd probably go despite the high gas prices.

There is a small show in St. Augustine the Saturday after Bug Jam.  It's a little closer and we have family just up the road in Jacksonville . . . so we might end up driving down to Jacksonville and visiting with them a couple of days.

This will be the first Bug Jam I've missed in years but circumstances just won't allow Dee and I to go.

We're passing this year too.  We just don't have the same desire to get down there now as we used to since the family has moved north.   :)

Then it's a caravan of one?  I'm sorry that y'all won't be going this year.  I just can't miss it.  Gasoline prices, threat of hurricane, nor lack of company will prevent me from delivering the mail...I mean, prevent me from going.

And then of course, there's my family down there...

Wow!  I received a trophy today from this show!  Wrong class, but I got one anyway!

Here's what happened:

I pre-registered online for "Instead of the Parking Lot" class.
I get there, they have me in "Daily Driver, '58-'68, Stock".
I tell them that's not right, give them the correct information, they come back with me in "Type 2, '68-'79.  Knowing I didn't have a chance in that class, I re-tell them what I registered for.
They give me my window card with the correct class number.  I go in and park and enjoy the show.
Today, I receive a trophy for "Daily Driver, '58-'68, Stock".  Oscar is a '78 Type 2.
I looked online when the posted the winners, but since I was looking in the class that I thought I was classified in, I didn't see my name.  No wonder, I was listed in the wrong class.

It's good to know we're not the only ones who make mistakes!   Trying to sort out and judge a little under 200 cars in 2 days is tough . . . I couldn't imagine trying to judge 400+ cars in one day!
