Oktoberfest at the Chattanooga Market

« on: July 14, 2015, 06:36:49 PM »
Everyone remembers last year and how Randy forgot to call....

Well savannah, with the market, reached out to us and invited us to come back again. This time, she has said that the best day to host the Volks Folks would be Friday from 5-9pm. This might conflict with the dealership's Oktoberfest. We need to decide and have someone other than randy contact her back so that we don't go the way of the wiener dogs!!!

Why, Randy, Why...

I am happy they reached out to us (and that they liked the video) but I agree, this would probably conflict with Village VW's Oktoberfest, which usually occurs Friday evening before the Market. Village has always been (free beer) gracious enough to invite us (free beer), and I would be hesitant to turn down their (free beer) hospitality. Maybe we should confirm with someone at Village that they are still hosting their event (free beer), and then see what else we can work out with the Chattanooga Market.

The good news is that weekend is relatively clear. It's one week before our club campout, and the only other event I know of on Saturday is the Airkooled Kustoms cookout/show in Alabama.

I have received a response! I told them Friday night would conflict with the Village Oktoberfest, and they understand. She is working to see if they can accommodate us on Saturday. I'll keep you updated!

Alright, Savannah would like to know how many cars she can expect for Saturday at the Market. The event that day runs from 10 - 9 PM, and she would like our group to commit for the entire day. I told her I would see, I don't know if everyone is willing to stay there that long but if not she would look at other placement options for us.

So please reply if you're planning to bring a car to Oktoberfest, and whether or not you can stay all day.

I can drop Butters off in the morning, but I will not be sober enough to drive him home.

Does everybody like the lot we were in a couple of years ago? I mentioned it to her and she said it would be okay for us to claim that again. That way, we could come and go as needed. I think it is hard to ask so many people to commit to leaving their car all day.

Indeed!
Maybe we can get some Sesame Street charters to help out with Oktoberfest.
I would love to see The Count count the Fräuleins coming in and out the buses in the back lot!!!

Ok, I replied and told her we all prefer to be in the side lot again. Thanks for the input!
