Oct 19th Fish n' Pods GTG • Tennessee Aquarium • C

« on: September 24, 2002, 08:33:09 PM »
Podrods will be hosting it's Fish n' Pods GTG at the Tennessee Aquarium Saturday, October 19th @ 11:00!  All VWs and VW Clubs are welcome to join us.  This will be a time for the people that can't join us at our normal meetings to come out and fellowship with other VW owners from all over the area.  We will meet at Coolidge Park then around 12:30 we will head off for lunch (location near Aquarium to be decided).  After lunch we will make our way to the Aquarium.  Some of you might also want to check out the IMAX 3D Theater.  After that it is all up to you, though I am sure several of us will hang out and chat.

Hope to see you there!

Sounds like fun.  Wonder if the Alabama Catfish VW New Beetle might find out about this???  We will try to be there.

Things are coming together for Podrods Oct. 19th GTG.  So far we have VW enthusiasts from all over the southeast planning to attend.  This includes folks from the clubs southernVolks, ClubH20 (Nashville), and Scenic City Volks Folks!  The Tortilla Factory seems to be the popular suggestion for a place to eat.  Hope to see you there!  Feel free to email me if you have any questions.

We are all going to meet up at Coolidge Park at 11:00.  We will probably wait till around 12:30 or so to go eat, then make our way over to the Aquarium after that. :)

Thanks to everyone that made the Fish N Pods GTG!

We had a very enjoyable time.  We started out meeting at Coolidge Park right on the Tennessee River.  After chatting for a while we made our way down to the river to take a look.  From there it was off to the Tortilla Factory for a very yummy lunch.  After that we made our way back to the car to give away the door prize.  Michael from Nashville Club H20 took home a red R/C New Beetle.  After a quick race of R/C cars, we made our way to the Aquarium.  After seeing looking over the aquarium and a cool Seahorse exhibit, a few of us went back down to river and got to see two WWII amphibious DUCKs (troop carriers) make a water entry into the river (very cool).  After that it was on the road to wrap up a nice day in Chattanooga, TN.

Here are a few pics that I made from the GTG.
