Scott, You will have to forgive Gehackt for his "Off the Wall" comments. He doesn't get out much and his trip to BP-9 was a culture shock for the good. I belive he didn't really know how wonderful and nice the people are down South. Now he feels that he has the right to start "messing" with us. I don't think he wants to do that.
If he would conduct himselve in a proper manner and learn to sing "Pick a Bale of Cotton" we would let him come up to the big house for a bowl of blackeye peas and cornbread ,that is if we let him come back. That would be scary. He might try to show up with more Yankee boys than we want to deal with. Then we would have to try to retrain the whole bunch. Jezzzzz !
Besides anybody that would park a Bug on top of a 911 couldn't be right in the head. Hmmm, I'm not going there
      T-shirt ?  What T-shirt.   I don't see a T-shrirt.  Has anybody seen a T- shirt ??

I'm alive and well, Crustine is running great, now (had an oil cooler leak, pretty bad one).  Scott and myself will be causing mayhem in the streets and at future meetings.
Oh, and by the way, David....
I'm re-acquiring my '69 Bus from an old friend of mine.
I think I'll let you work on it when it craps out on me.  I can fix it but I figured you would enjoy the practice.
Hee Hee Hee.

Sure, I will be glad to work on it. I didn't say fix it. All you need is a Federal Grant,  Anti-Acid(Tums will work)  a case of Jack Daniels Black Label and a comfy chair. Let the games begin !!

My "off the wall" comments are just to let you know that I'm still alive. Actually I thought of you's while I saw on the TV a commercial that Reese Witherspoon is in called "Sweet Home Alabama". It's about a boy and girl from Alabama getting married................and they're couisins. Figures. Don't you just love how they depict how the southern people live thier lives.    You need to quit saying how friendly it is down there as I'm beginning to wonder about ya'll.
Hey hey hey, take it easy, just josh'in with you. Just keep'in these here forums alive and crank'in. You guys and gals are great people, if I didn't think so I wouldn't have drove 13 hours to be down there with you for the BAP9. You're very fortunate to have people like David around. He probably forgot about VW's more than I will ever know.

Almost forgot...
I'll second what Scott said.....
This is, the last time I checked, a CAR club.  I would think it would be fun and rather refreshing to have a little more emphasis on the whole car thing.
And, like Scott said, bring 'em to the meetings, people.  When I go to China Moon, which, on two occasions has tried to charge me for a meal when all I had was coffee and water, if not for Scott's bug, Kyle's Vanagonagon, and Homer in the parking lot, you would be hard pressed to realize there was a meeting of the SCVF that evening.
I'd better shut up before I hurt somebody's feelings.
To recap:
I would like to request an Outdoor and/or casual type gathering, to talk about cool car stuff, and drive the VWs.
Now that I'm getting moved after the majority of the construction work has been completed, I might even bring Crustine to the gathering.....
Oh, like Scott said, a nice smooth lot with little to no entrance bump would be fabulous.
Later, kiddies.

Hmmm, The outdoor/casual thing ? Wasn't that the purpose of the Criuse-In  ?  It appears that the Cruise-In will settle down at the E.Brainerd Sonic for the Summer . Is this true ?
Belive me if I had a VW up and running it would be at meetings and Cruise-Ins.

Didn't have to trade.  Most of the Type-2 owners with high dollar problems  came in with a abundance supply of Nectar to share while trying to convince themselves and us that they had made the right move to purchase the heavy duty patina incrusted of what use to be a van with more windows than they came with from Hanover
