Lane Motor Museum Tour

« on: May 26, 2014, 12:51:46 PM »
Over on FunDubs they are trying to organize a cruise to the Lane Motor Museum in Nashville, including a basement tour. I've always wanted to go so it might be something we could cruise up there from Chattanooga and do. The tentative date is June 21st. I'll post up more information when they have plans together!

I echo that Lane is a great stop while in Nashville, and a worthy road trip.

Not to jack the thread, but Alice and I went to the High Museum of Art in Atlanta Saturday, in no way because of the Dream Cars exhibit, but since it was there...

Fantastic! Going through the art museum itself before getting to the cars puts you in the frame of mind to view them AS art and expressions of design rather tha...

Sorry. Hell, the cars were incredible. See them!

Thanks for the info,  the Art Deco cars were amazing,  I'll have to go back,  the craziest thing I saw was a 40 something lady drop her iPhone one the painted running board of one of the cars leaning over the rail to get a closer shot,  the guard keep his cool but I couldn't believe it

Ok, here are the details. Meeting at Lane Motor Museum at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 21. I imagine we might have to leave Chattanooga around 9 AM, to account for the time difference. Costs are as follows.

Members..............Free
Adults (18-64).......$9
Seniors (65+)........$6
Youth (6-17)...........$3
Age 5 & Under........Free

If enough people show up, we will get a small discount and there might be an additional fee for the basement tour but it will be well worth it. After the tour, we will have lunch in the area and then I guess head home! Sound fun?

Last call!

Lunch afterwards will be at The Gerst Haus, a German restaurant in Nashville.
