Hey Zen,

There's always 3 months of stuff to do. Come party with us!

I hate to, but I'm going to have to miss the party this year.  :(  I've been a little under the weather for the past 3 months and just started back to work this week.  I've got a bunch of things around the house that have to be done before the end of the month . . . some of them so my wife won't kick me out of the house and others so our insurance company won't drop our homeowners.  What I look at as future projects (broken down, beat up, rusty VWs), State Farm sees it as a liablity . . . and for some unkown reason, my wife agrees with State Farm.   ::)

Randy Schneck and his family, William Ellis, and Cindy and myself cruised up together this morning (Sunday). Rusty and Donna Sharp met up with us at the show and we all just hung out for the day together. The show was not as big as last years show, at least not on Sunday, and vendors seemed to down this year but still a good show. The Knoxville club did a fine job of putting on the show.

The Scenic City Volks Folks walked away with 2 first place trophies and 1 second place trophy. So we made a decent showing. We didn't nabe the club participation trophy, the Good Ole Folks from middle TN nabed that award.

Show ended around 3 pm and we all headed back together. Stopped and ate pizza at the Mellow Mushroom, got rained on for about an hour, but made it back without any trouble.

Sounds like a successful show! Sorry to hear it was not as big, it's tough to compete with Southern Worthersee on the same weekend, plus the Charlotte Transporter Show. I would have really liked to have been there but we had an awesome time at SoWo.

It was a good show for a small turnout. I had my white drag bug in the for sale section next to the gold sunbug pictured above.

It was nice to relax and enjoy a show. This is the first show we have been to in approx.3 years. We had a blast and the best part was watching my wife freak-out and put the deathgrip on the hand bar while driving in the wind and rain. She was unaware that you have to go with the flow when its storming. :o
