Are we planning a cruise to Summer Jam? I know I can't make it since I'm going to SoWo, but we talked about doing more cruises, this seems like a good opportunity.

Cindy and I are going on Sunday morning. If anyone wants to cruise up to the show with us, then lets meet at the Ooltewah Bi-lo Sunday morning and plan on heading to Knoxville by 7:30 am. If you have a RF radio bring it with you. I always forget to mention that... ;D

Going to SOWO on Saturday followed by movies at the Wilderness drive-in Saturday night so it'd be a hard turn around, but Sunday could work.  tempting.....

I will be driving up sometime on Saturday. I won't be driving a VW since I have to swap transmissions at the show.

I was wanting to go up Friday afternoon and camp for the weekend, but I've been brought back to the real world.  ::)  I've got 3 months worth of stuff to do that built up while I was under the weather.  If things go well for me Saturday, I'll be up for an early Sunday morning cruise to Knoxville . . .  ;)

Let's go ahead and make it official then. Anyone who wants to go on Saturday can meet up at 7:30 at Bi-Lo in Ooltewah and cruise together. Anyone who wants to go on Sunday can meet Lamar and Cindy at the same location Sunday morning at 7:30 and cruise then too.

If any air-cooled will be going we will go up 11 and stay off the interstate. If only water-cooled goes we can go either one, interstate or 11.

We'll be in the 66. Where would you like us to meet you in Cleveland?

Meet us at the corner of Keith and Paul Huff, in that plaza across from Wal-Mart. We hope to pull out of Bi-lo in Ooltewah at 7:30 in the morning.

I went. I ran into Mike too. I think we were the only VolksFolks that went today (I missed the 7:30 pull out if anyone else went....) It was a pretty good show. Small, but I think thats cause there were a couple other shows within a few hours of it that were well established. The vendors were decent. Aubrey, Jack (he left today), the guy from Athens, GA, and a few used parts folks. The SC sticker guy and the bath fitters/dixie home crafters were there. They only had one food vendor with one employee...it was faster to walk to my car and drive to a gas station than to wait in line (he liked to talk). Pull-a-part was a sponsor and had a "whack-a-honda" car bash there for $1/hit. It was pretty cool.

I liked it and would go back. I always have 4-5 reasons to visit Knoxville anyways, so its an easy choice.

I think if the schedules didn't conflict, it would be an awesome show. I'm confident they will work it out. Even Bugapaluza had humble beginings...
