I'm going. I'm planning on vending at the show too . . . so Herb, DON'T VOLUNTEER ME TO JUDGE again!   :p

I could have sworn this was already posted . . . and it is.  It's just buried 3 pages back.  Herb posted it back in March.  For those of you who haven't been to it before, it's a pretty good little show.  But you need to bring your own shade!

I finally found it when I went to the calender to check the posting of the date but I had already made my post by then.  Oh well, it's back to the top of the pile.

We're planning on going but will probably be in the Westy. Lucille is in the hospital undergoing major surgery and I don't look for here to be up and about by then but who knows, she's a tough old bird. :D

I believe that all the Clarks and a couple of Vws may make it to this one.

Sorry, we're headed to the Indy Car race in Nashville.  Unfortunately, just to watch!  I think I could at least whip up on AJ Foyt IV, maybe in the Vee!  Anyway, have fun!

A suggested departure time or place has not been discussed. Do we want to meet at the cone station at the Wildwood exit off I-24 at say..........8am? That will work for us. Remember, we are an hour ahead of Huntsville and it's approximately a 2 hour drive. That would put us there at about 9am their time.

Our usual route from Chattanooga is to gather at a store just off of I-24 at the Wildwood, GA exit.  That's one exit before the start of I-59.  From there we go west on 24 and pick up US-72 at the South Pittsburg exit.  If you are going out 35, perhaps some of us could hook up with you in Scottsboro.

I'm planning on leaving about an hour ahead of everyone since I'm planning on vending.  I need to start setting up by 8:00 (central time).  That's the plan anyway.  In reality, that means that the rest of the caravan shouldn't have to wait on me more than 15 minutes at Wildwood.   :D

If we need to back it up an hour and leave at 7am we can do this. Give me some input here.

FYI - I think that the Cone station at the Wildwood exit which had been closed for a few months for construction is now reopened but it is another franchise and not Cone. Can't remember the name of it just now but thought I'd relay that in case anybody gets there and can't find the Cone station

I stopped by there for gas on our way to Stevenson last month.  They have revamped the entire place...more gas pumps, better interior, etc.  The only thing is that with the increase in gas pumps, there is less "gathering and waiting" space.  It was almost as bad as trying to get gas at the Racetrac up the road!
I checked my receipt for gas and it says "Pilot Gas".
So look for the Pilot station.  It's still the same building and in the same location for those who have visited there before.

The Amoco down the road from it has a pretty good meeting space.   :)

I seem to remember us discussing the Amoco the last time we met at the Cone to go somewhere. If anyone needs gas, the Amoco will definatley be a better place to gas up.

Let's make it official and meet at the Amoco down the road from the old Cone.

Do we meet at 7am or 8am?
