High Country Bus Festival

« on: June 20, 2006, 11:10:46 PM »
10th Annual HIGH COUNTRY BUS FESTIVAL
July 28,29,30 - 2006
Grandfather Mountain near Boone, NC

The High Country Bus Festival is held every summer during the last weekend of July. During the hot summers it is great to get up in the mountains and cool off in the breezes. BUT - it can get chilly at night, be sure to pack some warm clothes! There were nearly 200 buses that made the trek up the mountain last year. What a great opportunity to come camping with old friends and new!

Costs To camp with group in Field: There is a $5 per person / per night for the campground fees which includes the use of hot showers, bathhouses, ect.  In addition, there will be a one time $5 activity fee per bus for the weekend to help pay for activities.  This will only add $5 to your camping fee for the whole weekend and is per vehicle, not person. These funds are used for the band, kids activities and to cover festival costs.  Both fees will be collected at the office when you sign in.  Please sign in at the office when you get to the campground.

I just purchased a log cabin on 3 acres today!  :D  The down side to it is now I'm broke.  :(  I guess High Country will have to wait another year for Homer the Super Bus to show up.  :(  Y'all have fun!   8)

We're back!  What a fun time we had.  I didn't get an official bus count, but if VWGirl doesn't beat me to it, I'll post that info and some of my pictures when I can.  The Blue Ridge Parkway drive was one of the best parts of the whole trip.  Aaaahh, good times...good times.

Zen it must be nice.Did you just use the money that was down in the sofas and chair lol.Just kidding.Well you might be broke but nice way to be broke.I would love to move from where I'm at to somewhere it might be nice and serene. My house just keeps getting closer to Atlanta.I would like to buy a smaller house and move somewhere maybe close to Pigeon Forge on the side of a hill where you could see out for miles.Where going to Walmart is really a challenge lol
