I have to put the ridge cap and a couple of pieces of flashing up and my garage will be finished.  The house and garage have both been painted.  The porch is rebuilt and painted (the columns still need a little trim, but that's only a minor cosmetic issue).  The sidewalk between the house and garage has been raised about 4 inches and the low spot in the yard now has a drain with a grate on it.  The yard is covered with about 8 1/2 pallets of sod.  The old privacy fence is down and the new one is about 2/3 complete.  Oh, and there are NO un-insured or non-running cars anywhere near my yard (OK, there are 3 projects in my garage, but two of them are easy projects, and I actually have room to work in my garage now!

What does this have to do with the Heart of Dixie Show?  It's done (at least close enough that State Farm has decided that they will renew our homeowner's policy) . . . I WILL be at the Heart of Dixie Show

Misty and I are planning to go, too.  I see one of the "Activities" is Michael Leonard's Vee.  Wonder if we should drag ours down?

Wow!  What a difference!  Reminds me of that 4-wheeler "backyard remodeling" commercial, but in reverse.

I think rather than drive up to East Ridge, I'll head out 136 towards Resaca.  I don't remember the exit number, but it's between Dalton and Calhoun.  I can get there quicker than I can get to East Ridge.  I "think" (it's getting dangerous now!) there is a rest area just past the exit.  I'll be waiting on y'all there.  Give me a shout on my cell phone when you are approaching the 136 exit and you won't have to stop, I'll just pull out and fall in line.

Any suggestions on the best way to go?  ???  Taking Hwy. 92 over to 400 is the shortest, but I've been out that way recently and there are probably 100 red lights between I-75 and 400.  I suggest we just get in the slow lane and go I-75 to I-285 to 400 North.  It's quite a few miles further that way, but it would be easier for us to stay together as a group, and it would be quicker (unless of course there were traffic problems on the interstate).
