We tried and it didn't work. George talked with the Rangers and they were making things too complicated for having the event at the campground. Noise and alcohol restrictions. Gathering and camping restrictions.
We've decided that the Hanging Dawg campout will be laid to rest and is now just a good memory for the people that participated over the years.
After having so many people ask about the event we started planning and working on it last year. Now after contacting the Rangers and getting all this info it's finally been decided to let it go.
We appreciate everyone's interest in the wonderful campout we used to sponser. And would like to thank all the folks that made the event what it was. We also appreciate the support from other clubs regarding this event.
Thanks again and we are working on a new event for this fall. We will keep everyone posted on our progress.

Hangin Dawg was awesome, I really enjoyed going. Sorry to hear it is a memory. I agree with Zen though, its the people not the place. Good luck with the next event.
