Hangin' Dawg is a campground without electric and water hook-ups.  They do have fairly nice restrooms but no showers.  It is a beautiful campground with lots of shade.  This is not a car show, just a weekend to kick back, relax, look at some neat vehicles, and visit with VW buddies.  You don't have to have a bus to camp in.  Lots of people tent camp.  Hope we have lots of Scenic City Volks Folks come up.   :D

We are planning on going on Friday afternoon.  Linda gets off of work @ 1pm and I should already be off of work.  That should put us leaving somewhere around 3 or 4pm on Friday.

As far as the club campsite...that's a good idea.  Were the other sites in that area somewhat level and/or spacious?

When we spent the night this past weekend in Toccoa, it really wouldn't have mattered if we were on the other side of the showgrounds from the camping section.  The entire place was tipsy and LOUD!  But somehow, I managed to fall asleep sometime after 1am.

If anyone is leaving around the time that we are, let us know.

All of the sites have a space to pitch a large tent in that is fairly level and all of the sites are spacious.  It is a primitive campground but there is water at various intervals where you can get water.

The "B" section is a lot calmer than the "A" Section AND a lot quieter. There is also a section of the lake that comes up behind the "B" section IF the water level is up. It hasn't been the last 2 years.

I will be going up Friday also but I don't know what time yet.

Okay, time to rally the Friday caravan crew....what time are we meeting, and where? I believe this includes Herb and Dee, Travis and Linda, and Angel and me so far.

Linda should be home from work around 2pm, with me having been home since around 1:30pm.  If all goes as planned, we think we will leave around 4pm (could be ready by 3pm, but we're going to go ahead and give ourselves another hour to be sure).

I guess let's just try to contact each other sometime around 3pm, unless you have already left by then.

Saturday people:

We want to leave as soon as possible, but also allow enough time to pack Sat morning and not be rushed.

How is noonish for everyone?  Or earlier if possible.

It will probably be noon at least before we can leave.  Have some things to take care of Saturday morning before we can get out of town.  Give us a call and maybe we can hook up at the infamous Bi-Lo Ooltewah or if you are ready to leave before noon we'll see you when we get there.  Save us a spot.
