Yes, for the first time, I didn't have to put a cardboard "diaper" under the car in the paddock! It didn't leak, and did pull a bit better on the straights. I nearly redlined by turn one and gained about 100 RPM on the back straight by the top of the second rise. Thanks for the suggestion, David! The car bit very well going into turns, and the front tire temps were pretty consistant across the width, but the rears were around 20 or 25 degrees hotter on the inside than the middle and outside, and I was doing a lot of oversteering, both into and out of corners, especially at low speed (turns 3 and 7). I seem to have a bit more camber on the rear than the other guys (about 7 degrees neg.) Too much??? High speed was better and I scared myself a couple of times dancing through turn 1 with just a tap of the brakes! My best times were 1'54s, (remember the new chicane at the end of the back straight) about 1.5 seconds off the lead car (a 2000 year-model Citation)
David, any suggestions on fixing the oversteer? It was also suggested to go for stiffer front shocks, and then there's the camber, which my gut says to adjust first.
