This is the same weekend as our club campout, but it's within driving distance and it's from 10-2 on Saturday.
http://bobcatscountry.com/news/2015/9/15/CHEER_0915151958.aspxThe Georgia Northwestern Bobcat Athletic Department will host its first-ever Bobcat Bonanza Car Show on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on the college's Walker County Campus (265 Bicentennial Trail) in Rock Spring.
Registration for the car show begins at 9 a.m. Pre-entry will be $15 in advance and $20 on the day of the show.
Awards will be given for the top three 50's cars, the top three 60's cars, the top three 70's cars and the top three 80's cars, as well as the top three trucks, motorcycles, Volkswagens, rat rods and foreign-made cars. There will also be a people's choice award, a coaches' choice award and an athletes' choice award.
Goody bags will be given for the first 25 cars to arrive and admission for spectators is free.
In addition to the car show, there will be concessions, a 50-50 raffle, a silent auction, a live DJ and a cornhole tournament. Vendor booths will also be available for $25.
Entry fee for the cornhole tournament will be $5 per person or $10 per two-person team.
