The movies playing this weekend are Charlie's Angels and Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blue.  We plan to meet at the Ooltewah Bi-Lo at 5:30 to cruise up to Etowah.  Don't forget your FRS radios.  See you Saturday!!!

I don't think anyone had a camera with them (I have got to get me one of them new-fangeled digital ones someday . . . ) so we didn't take any pictures, but we did have fun!  Sorry so many folks had to miss this one.  It was much cooler than last year and the humidity was very low . . . at least it was low AFTER the rain stopped.  The bottom did fall out for a few minutes, but it stopped right about the time the preview started and held off the rest of the evening.

Terminator 3 turned out to be a pretty good movie, even though I don't usually don't go for those kind of movies.  As for Bad Boys 2, you'll have to ask someone else.  In the first chase scene they crushed a late 70's Westy (A GREEN ONE!) . . . the next thing I knew some explosions woke me up and it was the end of the movie.

We ended up with 7 VWs in the caravan, ranging from a 63 Rag Top Beetle to 98 Mexican Beetle, with a 73 Beetle, a 71 Super Beetle, a 73 Bus, a 77 Westy, and an 81 Vanagon Westy in the middle.  We need to do this again this year IF we can find an opened weekend!

Hey Gang, I'm terribly sorry I had to miss the last 2 outings (Sonic and the movies?) but my stay at one of our local hospitals prevented me from participating in anything. From the 28th of July til last night, everything has been pretty much a big blurr. For those of you who don't know, I had to have hernia repair surgery and everything seems to have went well. I went in and had to operation last Monday morning, the 28th and they didn't release me til this past Saturday.

See and I want to make it to the Busses by the River campout but I don't know yet what the next few days will bring or if I will be up to a long ride or not by this coming weekend.

At any rate, we will be back in the scene in the next few weeks.

Glad to hear ya'll had a good time at the movies.

Herb, you haven't missed Sonic, that's this Friday night and then the next weekend is Buses by the River.  Maybe by then you will feel up to the ride.  Glad you are home and doing well.  We've been thinking about you and Dee.

Hope you're feeling better, Herb!

Don't feel bad, Zen.  I stayed up the whole second movie and couldn't keep up, either.  I'm still grumbling over the bus that got totaled!  A good-looking (aren't they all?) Sage Green Westy!
