December Cruise-In at Fat Mo's

« on: December 16, 2005, 05:41:55 PM »
(Zen, I copied, pasted and edited your November information)

It's starting to get a chilly at night, so we're moving our Friday night cruise-ins back to Fat Mo's on Lee Highway for the winter. Our second Fat Mo's cruise-in will be Friday evening, December 16th. We will start gathering around 7 PM and stay till ???

This is a very informal gathering . . . Just drop by and say hello, or come hang out for a couple of hours. Fat Mo's is located on Lee Highway near the intersection of Lee Highway and Shallowford Road. Hope to see you there!

Thanks for catching this one Travis . . . I totally forgot about it.  I don't guess I'll make it this month either.

I can't believe that no one but myself (with kids), and the Hollands (minus kids) showed up tonight.   :(
What, is everyone saving up their energy for Monday night by staying home tonight and practicing the art of Chinese Auction?

Travis, I guess folks had Chistmas on their mines or like me just forgot. It was never mention so I guess some folks assumed It wasn't going to happen and made or had other plans. I still think we need to space the Cruise-In out . What do you think ?  See you Monday night !

We must have passed each other on the road, because I swear I was there shortly after 7:00....maybe 7:06...okay, maybe more like 7:15.

Forgot...hmm...don't we get together every month?  We don't forget our meeting, do we?

Did you say "space out" or "phase out"?  I vote for "space out"! :hippy2: (No, really, what do you mean by "space out"?)

And before any feelings get hurt or anyone gets mad...I'm just giving y'all a hard time....M'kay?

OK Travis, Before we both get in trouble. I meant Space not Spaced out or is it the other way around ? Its not that I don't enjoy seeing everybodys smiling face twice a month but what I meant was having the Cruise-In at the first of the month, and leave the meeting date where it is. Hey! This is no big deal.
No ! I try not to forget our meetings but when you get to be my age and are retired ,the days and dates start running together. You will find this out as you go along the path of life. So Dudes like me need to be remined once in a while so I can mark it on my "Big Number" calendar which is beside my "Big Number" TV remote which is beside my "Big Number" phone which is beside my "Big Button I have fallen down and can't get to the Cruise-In Thingy"

I think the original "motive" behind the cruise-ins was to get out and be seen, attract some interest in the club and direct folks to our meeting the following Monday night.  Everyone seems to enjoy the cruise-ins, but as far as accomplishing our original goal, I don't know how effective they have been.  I don't see any reason not to change it to another night.  It probably would be better if they were spaced out.  Maybe a cruise in on the first Friday of the month and the meeting on the third Monday.  If nothing else it would be easier than saying our cruise-in is on the Friday before the third Monday.    :-k

I like your idea of spacing it out and probably the 1st Friday night would be fairly easy for folks to remember.   :)

Allright!!! Spaced Out! 8)

Yeah, getting together every 2 weeks would be cooler than 2 times close together (what seems like) once a month.

And David, do you have The Clapper as well?  How about a HoverRound in the garage?

Oh !    I FORGOT about the clapper !     If you have ever seen my Garage/ shop/restoration area/storage, you would know why I don't have a HoverRound. It wouldn't have room to land.

I was almost afraid to mention changing the Cruise-in date, but I'm glad to see that other folks feel the same way I do.  Should we take a vote on it ? :-k
