D.A.V. Show this Saturday - SCVF cruise to DAV in Cleveland

This is a reminder that the Scenic City Volks Folks next club activity will be a cruise to the D.A.V. car show this Saturday. Let's make a good showing of both air and water cooled VW's at the show.

Saturday, July 13-Cleveland D.A.V. Cruise In-K-Mart parking lot at Bradley Square Mall.  Meet at Village Mall on So.Lee Hwy/Keith St. at 5:15 p.m.

If anyone knows of another member who is NOT on the internet please give them a call and let them know about upcoming events like the DAV show.

Get the word out also about the Huntsville show.

Hey Uncle Tod,  we won't be finding any parts ... this show doesn't have a swap meet.  We just hang out in the K-Mart parking lot looking at and talking about cars.  This show has anywhere from 100 -150 cars show up each month . . . everything from antiques to hot rods to low riders and everything in between.  We do usually make a trip into K-mart and try to find a VW toy or two to add to our collections.  :coolgleam:

It doesn't look like I'm going to make it this month.  I've got to take my mother over to my aunts house in Lavonia either this weekend or next . . . and I don't want to miss the Huntsville show so I'm doing this weekend.

The only thing I could find on the Web was a little mention of the event on Bradley Square Mall's site.  I called the mall, and the lady on the other end said, "I imagine if it continues to rain like this, they won't show up."  She said that she didn't have any official information from any of the DAVs though.

Unless all of you guys write in and decide not to go, we will still be at the meeting place at 5:15.  Even if the show is canceled, we can still fellowship! :biggrin:

We had a good showing for the D.A.V. but they cancelled it.  We went to Golden Corral for dinner and to the Hobby Lobby to walk some of it off.  
 :blush:
Those attending were the Keedy's, Guthries, Hendersons, Lewis' and the Humphry's.
