Cruise In Fort Oglethorpe

« on: May 11, 2010, 01:50:47 PM »
There is a cruise in on Hwy 27th this Saturday May 15th...Part of Downtown Fort Oglethorpe will be closed off starting at Long John Silvers. There will be Live Music, Vendors and Food. I have never attended this cruise in before but I hear a lot od antique cars came in last year. Me and FeeBee will try to go if she is running and her tire is still up  ;D

I remember this from last year. It was mostly Mustangs and Camaros, hardly any VWs or any imports for that matter. I didn't stay long.

I'd probably go again if it weren't this weekend, I'll be at SoWo.

See if you guys would come up or down whatever there would be some VW"S on the lot and people would be much happier :) Does a Mustang or Camero make you smile? No, they are nice to look at but they don't make you smile like Stupie would

Here is this info if anyone wants to go.

The streets are closed by 4 pm.The 50/50 drawing will be around 8:00 to 8:30. If you have a large group coming, it would be good to stage in a nearby parking lot. Possibly Kmart, first Baptist, Capital Bank, the old bowing alley, etc...Then you can all come in at one time and there will be no problem parking side by side. It creates problems and hurt feelings when everyone wants to hold places for friends. We expect this event to continue to grow and are excited about your club participating. We have several vendors, food and parts, with a DJ playing 60's music, speakers on the poles, porta-potties, and businesses welcoming the Cruisers. Hope you decide to come.
Maybe next year you could get something together for this
