Of course, doing the reservation thing will mean this will be a rain or shine event.

You mean it's possible to camp WITHOUT rain?    Now that I think about it, it does seem like once when I was about 5 or 6 we went camping and it didn't rain one of the days we were there . . .       Oh, yeah, the year I went to the Dead of Winter campout it didn't rain . . . it was about 15 degrees at night, but it didn't rain.

Our church camped there this spring,  they have Brand new campsites and restrooms. Lots of water,   VERY Nice,   I was super impressed.  the whole park was beautiful.   It has hiking fishing boats etc and I wished I had brought a bike, skateboard, and  blades.  You might want to rent/schedule a pavilion for a group picnic if you get a big VW crowd .

:D I was told by Ms. Moe that my son said he would even camp if I got him a comfortable air mattress to use or cot, etc.    After coming to from the fainting spell, I am now looking into something for his comfort. I am going to make him eat his words!!! LOL Guess I need to get the old tent, cover, camping gear out and get them aired out and cleaned up. Maybe the "liquified sunshine" will let up sometime before the camping trip to allow this....

Made our reservations yesterday.  There was only one (1) Type 13 site left and six (6) Type 16 sites left (only 4 now).
If you haven't already made your reservation, I would suggest you do it yesterday.

The club has 10 of the campsites reserved for Friday and Saturday night and we have one of the pavilions reserved for our cookout/picnic on Sunday.  First come, first served on the campsites.  Sorry 'bout not getting the info posted before you reserved your sites Travis . . . but I don't think we'll have a problem finding takers for them.  I've got dibs on one . . . 9 left.  Better call 'em quick.  When these are gone, there aren't too many others left.

Yeah, too bad I didn't know about the club reservations.  I reserved 2 campsites...one for us and one for the Wilsons.
No deposit, no return...hope we fill them up! 8)

I don't think we'll have a problem getting rid of our 10.  I know of at least 8 or 9 that have said for sure they were going to camp . . . OK, y'all know who you are . . . start stepping up and claiming your camp sites!  They are paid for and like Travis said, there is no refund.  If I'm not mistaken, they are $40 for the two nights . . . is that what they charged you Travis?

Anyway . . . Claim your site a.s.a.p. or you may end up without one!

I was charged $44 for the weekend ($22 per day) per site.

This isn't something that the club is paying for, is it?  Or has the club just paid for the 10 sites and whoever comes pays the club for their campsite?
Just curious... because if the club is paying for the sites..."C'mon and take a free ride..."

No, it's not a free ride . . . you gott'a pay for camping whether you get one of our reserved spots or you get it directly from the state.  This is something we agreed to do at the last meeting.

The club is paying for a pavilion and for food for a picnic on Sunday afternoon . . . we need an idea of how many are going to show up for that so we will know how much food to buy.
