Christmas Parades

« on: November 12, 2005, 12:05:58 PM »
Please post details of any local Christmas Parades you want to participate in.

Ringgold is always a good one. I've been asked if want to participate in the Chickamauga parade, but I haven't got any details on it yet. I think we had members participate in parades in Rossville, and Ooltewah last year . . . any others? The LaFayette parade goes right by my house, but I think it's usually on the same night as Ringgold. Anyway, lets try to take part in as many as we can this year.

I have been told by my brother that Ringgold's Down Home Christmas Parade is going to be Friday Dec. 2nd.  I will try to find out the exact time before our next meeting. :santa:  :reindeer:

I talked with my brother and he said the parade will start at 6:00pm and to be there as early as you can so that you are towards the front of the parade.  If you remember last year we were in the middle and by the time we started, the begining of the parade was already back to the high school.

Yahoo!!  Petunia is ready to wear her sparkle lights!!  There is usually a pretty big one in Fort Oglethorpe, I'll see what I can find out about it.

The Chickamauga Christmas Parade will be on Saturday, December 10th.  Anyone who wants to be in the parade needs to line up in the horseshoe in front of Gordon Lee High School . . . by either 5 or 6 PM.  I can't remember the time for sure.   :-k

Sorry I've been away awhile. East Ridge just had one,it was sad. I guess if you buy a vette it gets you in a parade automatically.

I was told that the Walker County Messenger had some info on the LaFayette Parade and stated that you had to "sign up" no later than next Monday if you wanted to be in the parade . . . I don't know who you need to sign up with, but I'll try to find out.
