chattanooga food bank - food drive

wensday december the 11th will be the food drive we will meat at the burger king on amichola hwy and ride to rosses landing at 5;55 bring your vw and a case of food and join us

Who all is planning on attending the food drive?  I'm going to do my best to have at least 2 VWs there.

We'll be there and will probably be in 2 vehicles. "Lucille" doesn't have heat and "Deebug" does.     You do the math!  LOL

We're planning to be there with 2 bugs-the Orange one and Tweetybug.  By the way, I believe that Bi-Lo still has Stokley cans of Vegetables for 10 cans for $4.00 thru Tuesday evening.

We will be there, but only in 1 VW.  Linda has to drive and I will be confined to the front (or back) seat.  See everyone there.

Tonights the big night.  We have our bags of food in the car ready to go.  It'll be a push to get there from Cleveland after work and going home to get the cars but we'll be there.  Thanks to Randy and Kim for calling to remind everyone.  Hopefully it will be dry tonight!!!

The weather looks fine. A little bit chilly but fine. As Cindy said, Thanks to the Schnecks for doing the calling. It's my understanding they talked a couple of Folks into coming who have been absent from meetings for a while. Everyone who can, PLEASE COME!  See you tonight.

I agree!  Thanks to everyone who came out and helped us support the Chattanooga Area Food Bank.  :cool:

This was our 5th year of participating in the food drive and it was our biggest showing yet, and there was a good mix of VWs, both old and new . . . and for those that got to Buger King early enough, there was a brief appearance by a New Beetle Convertible!   :cool:

I can't wait to see how big of a caravan we can put together next year!  :D

For some reason, I was unable to get on the message board last evening, 11 DEC 2002, but I want thank each and every one of you who came out to support, not only the Chattanooga Area Food Bank, but show support for your club, The Scenic City Volks Folks.

I am not sure of the total count of Folks with their vehicles but it was truly fantastic. Special thanks to the Schnecks for doing the calling to remind our membership of the event. If any of you didn't recieve a call then we have the wrong telephone number for you. If that is the case please contact one of the officers and update your contact information.

After the "drive thru" the majority of us met back at Burger King and "hung out" for over an hour. A great time was had by all. If you missed it then you just missed it. Hopefully next time.     Thanks again!!!!!!!

also the club got a lot of coverage i recorded the news and from 6 to 630 the vws was all that was shown and talked about
