I wouldn't mind going to this one.  I need to see what my  better looking half has in mind for then.  Camping at the banks of a river sounds cool to me!
More information on this campout can be found at the Buses On The River website.

I want to go...but don't know if I am going to.
Some questions:

When are you leaving?
Have you reserved a site or are you going to camp with the group? (either way is fine)
How long of a drive is it?
If I have to come by myself, is that OK?
Will you come work on my brakes?  (just kidding)
I will know more as the week progresses....

I have been wondering...does anybody remember Frank and Kathy talking about "Chucky's Redneck Campout" that they went to many, many moons ago?  Is this Noli"chucky" Gorge campout (aka, Buses on the River) possibly the same campout, only incarnated into something else?

Lamar and I will not be able to make this one.  I don't know for sure but I think its about a 3-4 hour drive.  I guess our next campout will be Hangin' Dawg in September.  We have to check out the oil leak in the bus before we try to take it out on another long trip.  Hope you all have a great weekend!!!

Yep,  I would guess about a 3-4 hour trip too.  I  have to make a stop at my fathers house on the way up there,  not a long one, but definately a stop, that will probably add another hour or so to my trip.  Travis, I don't care if you come by yourself if thats the only way you can come.  I just would like some more volksfolks to show to this one it really does sound fun.  No I haven't reserved a spot, for some reason I didn't feel like there would be a need.  We should be leaving earlier friday afternoon around 2ish?????? maybe

I will not be able to make this one either. Dee has to work (naturally) and I have a lot of "stuff" to do around the house plus I'm still hard at work on the Double Cab. If anyone wants to volunteer to come and paint the back of our house then maybe I could go. LOL (I won't hold my breath on that one)

I want to have an officers meeting soon and I was hoping for this weekend. When will you be back Sunday, Eric? Call me.

"It looks like I picked the wrong week to quit amphetamines"  (Name that movie...)

But back to me...

It looks like I picked the wrong week to work on my brakes.  The rear wheel brake cylinders are rusted tight and are non-functioning at this point.  I have bought new ones, but if I don't have them installed by tomorrow, I won't be going anywhere in my camper.
If I do get them done, I will go, but I don't think that I will be done by tomorrow.
:(
If I don't go, have fun anyway!

Let us know how this campout went this past weekend.  In fact, do a write-up on it and submit it to the newsletter.  :)

I finally got my rear brakes finished.  What a pain.  The rear passenger ones gave me the hardest time.  What took 4-5 hours on Friday took only 2 or so on Saturday.

Buses and a River,  this is a better name for the event.  52 buses were there in attendance, most of them I had never seen before. A very good time, I recommend more of us plan to go to this one next year.
