hey wanted to say thanks to all that made it happen GOOD SHOW! and the point of this post is to say that i liked the show being on the pavement . i had talked to several entries and they actually liked it to rather than being in the grass. just thought i would let you know what some where saying so you could maybe do that again . or maybe have some on pavement and some on grass , cause im sure there are some that want it on the grass.

I heard the same comment from a bunch of folks.  In the past, I had heard a lot of people say one of the things they liked about our show was it was in the grass, and not on a paved parking lot.  If things work out like it's looking like they will, next year we will have full control of the parking lot AND the field to set it up any way we need to.  Our show committee chairman, Herb, has already been in touch with the folks at Camp Jordan and they are double checking with the Soccer and Softball people to make sure they don't already have something penciled in for the weekend of April 20-23, 2007.  If they don't already have something planned, we'll have Camp Jordan to ourselves!

This will give us some much needed breathing room.  We can open up the whole field to camping and have all the show cars and vendors on pavement, or we can have some cars on the pavement and some in the grass . . . we can let motorhomes camp with the tent campers . . . the possibilities are unlimited!

The rain and mud may have been a blessing in disguise!  Had the weather been perfect, I'm sure we would have had more campers and more show cars and possibly more vendors . . . I don't know if we would have been able to cram them in the field or not!  If we had gotten them all in, it would have been cramped!

hey zen , i brought my car there for the first show and got a bronze ! sweet.  :D  i know it was kind of thrown together in the parking lot . and was a last minute thing . so i dont know if it is normal or not . but i would like to have more room for my car cause it was hard for people to see in the interior of it with the doors closed . and there was not enough room to open them . if at all possable it would be nice to have bigger spaces . could i pay more for a bigger spot next time ? :?  just a thought specially if there is alot of room at the next one. i would not mined to pay more for a bigger spot.

What we had laid out in the field were 18' X 12' spots.  They are not huge parking spaces, but it does give enough room to open the doors.  The move to the parking lot was totally unplanned.  We did it on the fly Saturday morning and since we didn't have much space to work with we had to just park 'em anywhere we could get them.  Regardless of where we park them next year, on the pavement or in the field or a combination of the two, we'll do our best to not have everyone packed in like we did this time!

Yeah Michigan is further than Florida... at least where I live in FL.  I think i was the ONLY person from FL there... cause everyone else bailed on me at the last minute :( Didn't see the one from MI.
