Yea I like the paved parking also. But it's ok if it hasn't rained in a while.Just makes things kind of muddy. But I sure enjoy Bug-a-Palusa anyway.

If we are going to be in the paved part of the park instead of the swamp, may I go ahead and reserve the only big ole muddy puddle for my car?   Last year I got that space and ended up with both a nice 1st place trophy AND and great view of a really nice Cabrio driver!

Already looking fwd to the drive from JAX for your show.  It is one of the BEST!

Hope to see y'all at Bug Jam this Nov.

Excellent... This will be our 5th BAP as long as everything goes according to plan...

my wife Kellie is due our first little vw addict on April 1 (haha) and we wern't planning on going. My parents were flying down from VT to spend the first week with us, and Kellie suggested my parents come down a couple weeks later so that my Dad and I can go to BAP while my mom stays home with her... she said that one of us needed to go, and is sad she'll be missing it herself.

So... I get to go afterall, and my Dad finally gets to check out the highlight of my year... and it will also be the first time I'll show the same vehicle I did the year prior.

Congrats Gavush!I have alway's liked BAP.Needs to be on the pavement if possible.I hate mud holes because you just can't get that red clay out of the carpet plus everywhere else it gets.I like thier little trophys.Kind of a split between the regular trophy and the plaques.Boy I sure do need to add some more things on mine.People I think are getting bored with it.Or they never liked it anywho.Someone told me one time that it didn't matter who liked it or not as long as I did.Think that was Kathy Jacobs.Kathy is a good ole gal.She really gets into it for sure.

it's funny, last year bugapaluza was my bus's first trip out of state... it's since been back to chattanooga I don't know how many times, and to several other states as well :) i'm convinced though, it rains in chattanooga more than it does in florida!

VW Girl did you ever get your beetle fixed? There was a few issues on oil leaking and radio going off on it's own.Hope you got them fixed because when you do it will make a nice little car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.Now let me ask you.Do you still remember the sun bugs? Think they had a metallic paint job and sun roof. They were really nice from what I can remember.Would like to have another one.If you find one in mint condition let me know. Were they super beetles or regular ones.Just let know. Thanks Girl!!!!!

yes, my mexi beetle is fixed, it had a cracked block. The radio issue i never addressed as i dont generally drive it for an hour at a time.

Sunbugs covered all three types, beetle, super beetle and super beetle convertible. the beetle and super beetle had the metal sunroos and the convertible had a standard convertible top. The sunbugs were unique by the color of their paint. The other SunBug stuff was actually dealer installed. I have seen several different sunbug interiors... all of the had the same brown carpet, but some seats had coruroy and some not. The super beetles had the woodgrain interior and also had a center console. The most sought after item on the sunbug was the shift knob... although there are actually two different ones. They also had the sports bug wheels on them.

I actually have a sun bug convertible sitting in my backyard... it's got a solid body but needs floors and a top... there is no engine/tranny or title... i really should sell it... but i want the wheels that are on it (non sunbug wheels) and they are rusted on (the lug bolts where replaced with chrome ones that didnt hold up like the factory)... actually it looks like they melted away over the years.
