We had a great time at the show. It was good to see my fellow club members again. Thanks Dee for remembering the shirt for me. I totally forgot to contact you again. Below is what I posted on the NAVWC group site on Yahoo.
First I want to say it was great to meet Bill,Daryl & Todd face to face. This was our first time to attend your event and we were very impressed with the venue. The pavillion is a great place to escape the sun and rain. You can all give yourself a 'BIG PAT ON THE BACK" for an excellent show. The folks who sold the BBQ have Josh & me hooked. I have consumed plenty of BBQ over the years, and it shows I know, but that BBQ was great. We are very pleased with the awards we received to say the least. We really love the "prestiege tag" theme for the awards. Very cool!!! They are now proudly displayed on the wall with the other plaques. Only downside was at exit 225 SB I-65 the left rear tire blew out on the trailer. No spare with me and it was a friends trailer I was using. Got off the roadway to safe location and dropped the trailer with the idea of trying to find someone to just change the tire for us. Well the lug wrench from the Durango fit 3 of the 4 tires. Anyone care to guess which one it did not fit?? Yep, the flat one!! But so we go into Hartselle and at Oreilly's Parts Store an employee, Josh gave me some numbers and after some calls and the folks using their link phones etc Scott Parker in Falkville came to the rescue. We purchased a 4 way lug wrench from Josh, took off the tire, carried it to Scott and he changed it. A grand total of $30.00 for wrench, and tire. Not too bad I say. So the folks in Alabama can proudly say that they showed that "Southern Hospitality" in it's true spirit. The lesson learned here: Get your OWN trailer and you will know what is what!!! So again a tip of the hat and a pat on the back to the NAVWC for a job well done. A big thanks to all the folks who helped us in our crisis and got us on the road again...
