Two things you can do to help before the show . . . 1) Ask around at any place you do business with and see if they would like to give us stuff for the goodie bags.  2) Help spread the word about the show to any VW owner you run across.

Just show up at Camp Jordan anytime after Thursday morning and I'm sure there will be something for you to do!

Just spreading the word will be fine, and just show up whenever you can get there.

I plan on being at the show grounds from early Thursday morning until about dark on Sunday.  If you want to help out ANYTIME during that time, I'm sure we can find something constructive for you to do!

Thursday and Friday we have lots of set-up work to do. We have measure off and mark the field for the show cars and vendors, set up the shower bus, set up several 10 X 20 and 10 X 10 canopies, set up the paint-a-bug, set up the die-cast race track, set up the drive-in movie screen, . . . anyway, there is a LOT of stuff to do before the show starts.

Then on Saturday and Sunday we're registering and parking cars and vendors, judging, running back and forth to the grocery stores, hardware stores, Wal-mart, etc. to pick up things we run out of (or just forgot to get to start with), handing out door prizes, and just generaly trying to keep things in order and our guest happy.  After the awards are handed out and all of our guest have left late Sunday afternoon we have to pack-up everything, clean up the show grounds and clear out.

It's a HUGE job and we need all the help we can get, but don't feel bad if you can't be there the whole time . . . like I said, we'll have no trouble finding something constructive for you do during the time that you can be there!  8)

Hey Zen, I noticed that Meguiar's supports auto shows, there still might be time if you hurry.  They can provide stuff for your goodie bags, I'm sure.  And who doesnt love their products??

Here is the link to the form you need to fill out, it should only take a minute :D

71superbee, dont feel bad. im struggling to get mine roadworthy for the show too. i started off just getting the alternator rebuilt. while i had it out, i thought i would replace the fuel line. PO had that all screwed up, its a wonder i didnt burn it to the ground. while under there doing the fuel line and putting the fuel filter where it belongs..NOT in the engine bay, i thought i might as well do the pans since they are completely rustfree (ya just gotta love California!). while i was doing that i noticed i had a leaky wheel cylinder. i get the rear drums off (the axle nut was only finger tight!..im beginning to think the PO was a total moron)..anyways, its not a leaky cylinder, its the axle seal. so now im waiting for that to come in and then TOTALLY go over the whole car cause im afraid of what else the PO has screwed up...anyways, im doing everything i can to get her ready for next month. keep yer fingers crossed! (oh, and during all this im also trying to plan a trip to Jamaica to get married)..so add that stress to it...
you just GOTTA love these cars!!!
