This discussion came up at last nights meeting. The plans are to meet at the Bi Lo in East ridge and leave at 7am. It's about a 2 hr drive down there. Several members are planning to go.

The guys in Carrollton always support our show so we need to return the favor. We need to get as many Volks Folks there as possible.

65 dunebuggy, unfortunately, Dee and I will not be able to attend this one due to a commitment to go and see our granddaughter for the first time down in Alabama. She was born March 27 and we haven't got to see her yet.

See y'all in a couple of hours!  I'm going to head out about 7:00(ish) and stop at the Wally World just below Trion.  I'll catch y'all when you pass by.   8)

Hey, we made it home about 8:30 and didn't need the lights till we got off at Bonny Oaks.  We had a slight problem with the alternator and had to cut the belt off it south of Rome.  We had a great time and all 3 members buses/cars that entered the show came home with a trophy. :D

It was a pretty good show for the first year!  Hopefully it'll happen again next year!  Carrollton was a little further away than I remember it being . . . but it's a pretty nice drive most of the way (a bypass around Rome would be nice).  Next year we probably need to leave about an hour earlier.

I'm glad to hear that the Westy made it home under its own power.  Having dual batteries is a BIG plus when your charging system kicks the bucket!  I'm glad you didn't get caught out somewhere and have to make a decision between running lights or running the engine . . . been there, done that!           8)
