The North Alabama Volkswagen Club would like to announce their 15th Annual Bug'n in July charity car show. Our show will be held July 19, 2014 in beautiful Ingall's Harbor in Decatur, Alabama. Proceeds from our show will once again be donated to our sponsored charity, Crisis Services of North Alabama (http://www.csna.org/). Bug'n in July will feature dozens and dozens of beautiful vintage and custom Volkswagen vehicles from the classic Beetle to the Karmann Ghia and Bus.

Ingall's Harbor
Located on the southern bank of the Tennessee River, Ingall's Harbor is best known for being the location of the national fishing tournaments that come to Decatur. When tournaments are not being held, it is a public boat dock for area fishermen. It is also the location for Decatur's annual Riverfest event.

Show Classes & Trophies
Top 40 with special awards for Best Paint, Best Interior, Best Engine, Longest Distance, People's Choice, Dealer's Choice. We're also having a car stereo and an engine sound-off.

The registration fee is  $20, but we will also have a "Display-Only" entry fee that's just $10. With Display-Only, all of your entry fee goes towards Crisis Services of North Alabama, you get a dash plaque, and you can still participate in contests and raffles. Vendors are always welcome, fee $10.

Looking forward to seeing you guys soon; sorry you couldn't make it last year. This year we have a live DJ, and a huge events tent in case of showers. Planning for a great day on the riverfront!

Who's planning to go? Nick and Matthew and I were talking about making a day trip out of this on Saturday. What time is good?

Hummm . . . I can go to the show in a non-VW, OR . . . I can get the counter on Homer reset.  I'm kind'a afraid if I don't do it Saturday, it won't get done before Monday.  I WILL drive Homer to the meeting Monday!  But I really want to go to this show . . .  :-\

Rip the interior out really quickly and then scrub the metal down. You should be there by noon

If he waits 43 more days the counter will reset to "000".
Problem solved.

Not how it works.   :(  Russ informed me a while back that it doesn't reset to 000, it's just the layout doesn't have room for 4 digits . . . which he will modify IF needed.  It won't be needed.

The heat is on now! Get some of it pulled out tonight and some in the morning. Clorox the inside and wipe it down. Should be perfectly fine!

To get some of the interior out, I gott'a get the hatch opened again.  Some dumb@$$ closed it without first getting the rusty lever freed up.  ::)

Remove the rear seat first and then you'll have all the room in the world to get to the back hatch.

Hope to see you guys tomorrow-speedy rain system meant downpours today,
leading to only widely scattered showers tomorrow. We have a pro-style events
tent  already up, so hot sun or drizzle, Bug'n is a go!
