There are still good samaritans

I ran out of gas in my beetle this morning, not a good judge of the manual gas gauge and having the car three months and not knowing it's limits.  I was about a mile from the gas station and called two poeple but they were going to be a minute before i could be rescued so i deceided start walking and see how far i could get when a guy in a truck stoped and asked if i needed help. He took me down to the gas station and waited while i got gas and took me back.  Good karma,  i think the next time i see someone broken down i will help, not just a volkswagen.

I ran out of gas the other day 3 houses down from mine... my gauge apparently skips from 1/4 to empty... someone was driving down the street and stopped right after i started walking... they gave me a ride the rest of the way... they knew where i lived... though i still don't know who they are or where they live... it's kinda crazy how unique my car is and that so many people know where i live... at least once a week i get someone that comes in the store that recognizes it and says they drive by my house every day...
