Quack! Quack! Duck Tape

Coming home from work the other night, I sighted a particular duct taped stretched bus heading north through Acworth, GA on 75.

Hmmmm...where did I see this before?     I thought you could use a little Jetta escort, at least for as long as I could.  Hope you made it back safely  8)   I cant tell you what a thrill it was seeing you in my neck of the woods.

On a side note, the other day I was in the Scirocco heading the same stretch from work.  There was a Phaeton driving along with me.  Well, despite appearances, the well groomed gentleman driving it certainly appreciated the ponies...we played a little cat and mouse until it was time for my exit.  I wont tell him but it took everything my tired 16V had in her to stay with it.  That Phaeton did not even break a sweat. :x

Well I would certainly hope that the Phaeton would show you the way home.  Consider this, your Scirocco didn't cost $85,000 nor does your Scirocco have a big V-8 or possibley a V-12. If you could have passed that thing flat out, I would be interested in giving you top dollar for your Scirocco.

Oh I am not under any delusions by any means-I know good and well his Phaeton would have left me as a little dot in his rearview had he opened it up.  But it was good to see someone who drives it actually...well, *drive* it like he enjoyed it instead of coddling it.

But yeah, I got a cheap thrill from my $1500 Roc.

If you own/drive an old VW , duct tape, roll of wire and a little fire protection is a good thing. These things should have come with the car/van when they were new.
