Never Again . . .

This seemed like a good idea at the time . . . It wasn't.  I'll leave it at that.

Your a dare devil.   I'll pick you up one of those little kid trailers you tow behind bikes at goodwill.  We can put a doll in.   hook it behind the coin operated bug trailer.  sc

Really, it wasn't that big a deal . . . just couldn't get much over 35 without Homer wanting to dance with the S-10.  I wouldn't have minded the dancing so much, but Homer wanted to lead.

The trip over to Stevenson took 4 hours.  I avoided the interstate and only got above 40 a couple of times.  I started learning the dance and getting brave (more like getting stupid, but give me a break, I was suffering from severe dehydration) so I spent quite a bit of the trip home going over 40.  It only took about 2 and half hours to get home.

The biggest problem was Homer's rear tires are 8 year old passenger car tires.  The sidewalls are WEEEEAK.  William followed me home and said when it got to dancing, the tread was staying straight on the road and sidewalls were flexing letting the wheels shift from side to side.

Guess I should have stuck with last year's set-up.  It was slow, but it wasn't as scary.   8)

I have been thinking about adding one of those bolt on step bumper receiver hitches to the rear of the single wheel . . . If I had a 1 7/8" ball on the back of the single wheel, I could hook up little folding trailer behind it.
