My fasty got hit just in time for the show!

« on: March 25, 2009, 08:23:23 AM »
Yeah... So I was at work minding my own business when this random person comes in the store and says "does anyone in here own that yellow car?" I said "yeah, I do, why?", they replied "you just got hit!"... so I go out to my car to find this...

When I got out there the lady said "i hit your car, but it's okay, what do you want to do?"... I don't know about you, but I don't think my car is okay... you cant tell from the pic, but my fender was actually smashed on to the tire and I had to bend it out so I could drive...

*sigh* I got her insurance info... and i am going by my insurance today to figure out what to do

I hit your car, and it's o.k..... except for the scratches, and the dents, and the scuffs....

What an idiot...

And what the heck is going on around here?  Fred, now you?

We're dropping quick.... lock up the air-cooled cars until showtime people...

I think I'm going to keep Albert parked indoors for a while Gezz!!   How in the world did she manage to get that close with all the open parking places I see in your photo.  It will be hard to match the paint on your F.B. Hint, Hint
Maybe the Puppy needs to drive or maybe he/she was driving.
Fred's Super looks ok to me. All he needs is a Come-along and 25 gallons of Dent-B-Gone

There's sumthin in the air around here. Some guy pulled out in front of me this morning on Ringold rd 35mph in the rain and he figures by looking at my car I wont hit him?
I think the pup was driving how in the hell did that lady manage that? You should have gotten a police report for the insurance company.

At least the dang dog's too embarrassed to be photo'd! And I'm sure you appreciate the idiot determining that YOUR car is okay! Look at her car, I guarantee that's the boob that doors my cars everywhere I park! Sorry to rant but this stuff infuriates me!

me too.  usually when this stuff happens, they say your car is fine, and it's like they're looking around, watching for the cop car, hoping to get away before he shows up...
Fine... yeah, o.k...... let's just wait and see.  We see New beetles come in, check engine lights on, fault for evap leaks.... see a scuff on the right rear corner of the bumber.... ask the person if someone recently backed into them, they say yes, we price them out a 500-600 dollar evap canister.  The damage looks like nothing on the outside, but with where it sits, it breaks the mounting tabs off, creating a large hole in the canister.  good luck trying to get that other owner to reimburse you for that after the fact.  Behind the bumper... you never even know it's there until you have to pay for it.

I have to have an adjuster come look at my car due to its age, condition, etc..

Here is what happened...

The lady driving the honda was parked in the spots up next to the building, when she went to leave, she took the parking brake off and proceeded to look for her lighter... well without anything holding the car on the hill, the car started to roll, and she didn't notice until she heard the scraping sound... so she waited on her car for me to come out.

Now... what happened to fred's car?

Whatever, Zen.... some Georgia fan planted that..... I know for a fact because she tried it out on the bumper in front of the camera and it didn't fit.

I'm not a body man but I'll bet the repair on that fender lip will be pricey to repair. I just wonder if "lighter lady" would have stuck around if it weren't for all the cameras that are now in public parking lots. And Zen... =D> GO BIG ORANGE  !!!

The really scary part of that story is that when it was all over, she left the parking lot and went out on the street . . .
