after the bp.4 planning meeting this past thursday...the normal fun chit-chat went for a while, we all admired TWTYBUG :inlove: and of course the more senior VWs in the lot.
the last of us (cindy, lamar, eric, zen & me) were still there for a pretty long time.
eric heads for home and we stayed for a few more minutes and then headed out too.
i pulled out after the lewis' & TWTYBUG.
soon after we pulled onto the interstate headed north, i decided to "pop-a-wing" and pulled past TWTYBUG. after i went by, they started flashing their lights at me and i thought to myself...
"self: see, cindy & lamar really do like you. they're flashing bye, cause they miss you." :biggrin:
feeling very good about myself, i moved on up-the-road at a pretty good pace.
iBug was "whirring" along with the turbo just slightly whistling (i love that sound :inlove: :music: ).
not long thereafter, i caught up with chip & big johnson on 75n. i slowed to wave and then resumed flight and chip flashed his lights at me. at that point i thought to myself again...
"self, again: you have so many friends that love and care about you. they really do." :biggrin:
i call "el prez" to give him a quick update on the meeting and jump off the ramp at bonnie oaks in case i run by the "white house".

i decide to head on home and turn off the fork that runs by couch's bbq. then turn left to head back to I-75. at the traffic light, chip pulls up beside me and i think to my self...
"self, you have to stop talking to ourselves
: he sure is taking a weird way home." and then i roll down the window and eric says "man, i've been chasing you and flashing my lights, iBug's marker light is hanging out".
at that point i felt cold & naked.
i said "REALLY" and eric said "REALLY"
i said thanx and turned left toward the interstate and then pulled over into the amoco lot to check it out. sure enough, there it hung. it was a very sad moment.
the best part of the story is...
right there next to me was my "good volksfolks cap-member buddy" eric. and next to him was iBug's friend chip.
wow, membership really does have it's privileges!! thanx eric!

iBug already has an appointment w/ Dr. Eldon on monday. i know that Dr E. will make sure iBug is feeling ALL NEW again.
