Kyle, I hope you put some miles on that Beetle before heading out . All you need is to have that thing crap out on you. Then you would have 2 little projects to deal with up in land of ice and snow. If it were me,I would be looking at that Dodge Ram in the drive way. To hell with the gas mileage. At least you would'nt  be dragging a trailer around with a un-tried car.  I'm not as brave since turning into a Old Fart.

Well as everyone knows we didn't go get the vanagon at Christmas like planned, but we are leaving today.  It is a lot colder than it was at Christmas.  I think it was 5 below last night and the high today was somewhere in the low teens.  Anyway, I have put a little over 1500 miles on the new beetle already so, I think it is broke in.  Kyle even got the check engine light to go out.  I haven't driven anything without a check engine light glowing in about 3 years.  So I think it should be ok. We pulled in to Pontiac at 7:30 'bout an hour ago. SCHNIKEES it's COLD.D.D. The TARDIS (Betty's new beetle) did great, kept us warm, and pulled the little trailer fine. Had two drink cans freeze and bust in the trailer before Paducah KY.  Will fill you all in later...

Well the trans is in, everything hooked up and done! \:D/  I still have to test drive it [-o< ... Sorry to everyone that I missed the meeting, but this was the best time to get the Vanagonagon and help clean up after the flood here. Can't wait to drive it! :hippy2:  See you all when we get back! :thumbs-up:

Good deal, Glad you got it back together. Offered up my garage but Kyle was hard-core and wanted to rough it in the weather. I told him that I would have come down and trailered it back to my house for him to work on in a heated garage. He was about 1-1/2 hours away. Hope the clean up went well after the flood! See you all in a few months. Looking forward to meeting up with the GodFather again. I have another T-shirt for you David!!
