Bug Juice

« on: April 03, 2005, 05:03:26 PM »
I pulled a Zen last week. If truth be told I pulled it twice in less than eight hours!
I ran out of gas on the way to work.  I got a ride to the gas station, filled my little gas can up and got back to my bug and put most of it in and went on to work. Then I got off work a little early and went to Hamilton Place, totally forgetting that I only had a couple gallons of gas in the tank. I ran out of gas on Gunbarrel. Luckily I had not put all the gas in the tank had had enough left to get me restarted and down to the gas station where I did fill up.
It was one of those things that you really feel stupid about letting happen and you don't want anyone to know, but you just have to share because, well because it's a air-cooled VW and it doesn't take a $40 hour service technician to prime and restart your engine

OK, now I've run out of gas many, many times . . . but only one time did I run out twice in the same day . . . and both times I was in my driveway.  Once leaving, and once coming back home.

. . . and why is it that every time someone breaks down or runs out of gas my name comes up?

Oh, by the Charlton . . . check and make sure the bolts are tight on your heater boxes and bumpers and make sure your oil drain plug is tight.  Running out of gas is one thing, but if parts start falling off your bug I'm gonn'a start worrying!

well my oil drain plug is tight because I changed oil yesterday. As for the rest of the car, well, it would probably be easier to list the things that are not loose!

Ahh Grazzhoppur, there is only ONE Master Zen, the rest of us can only be Zenites! To follow Master Zen, one must learn from Master Zen, unfortunately I am failing at that because if I had learned from Master Zen I'd of not run out of gas :bounce:  :hippy2:  O:)  ](*,)

OK ! This does not look good. In order to challenge Master Zen, one must be able to grab the Fire Extinguisher from his hand. If this is not learned, you will remain a Zenite always and your faithful steed will be toast.
