I just saw the bug in question going down Lee Hwy in front of the shop.

OMG.

I called Travis up, said his friend went to Erlanger, but says he's o.k.

Hard to believe.  The car was destroyed.  I was able to see the interior because the passenger door was folded back to the front fender.

Glad he's o.k.

That was my son's bug. He is doing ok now. Has a fracture in the base of his skull, but not to big. He probably has at least 50 to 60 stitches in just his face. He rolled it several times on the interstate. He is going to be down for a while but at least he is alive.

Scott, Michelle and I hope Ethan has a speedy recovery!  Such a terrible thing to happen but I guess it could have been so very much worse!!  Our thoughts are with you and your family.

For those who never saw Ethan's Bug BEFORE now... still amazing that he "walked away"

I've seen that beetle around East Brainerd the last couple months. I was driving Bonnie home one night and noticed beetle headlights in my rear view. He passed me and waved and ended up getting in front of me on East Brainerd Rd and turning on the same street I did. Saw him a couple weeks ago almost same spot. Looked like a nice bug. Glad he's going to be ok.
