I have driven old link-pin Bugs with the front end worn out and "flopping" around and the dang things would drive perfect. Go figure

I've towed a Super Beetle with one of the tie-rods cut in half and the bolts missing from the control arms at the frame head.  Towed down East Brainard Rd. around 5:30 PM on a weekday.  It would tow perfect up to about 10 mph.  Needless to say, I don't think I made a lot friends that day.  :(  When I would speed up, it would develope a case of the Super Beetle Shimmies.  Must need an alignment.  I have string and a level . . . .
