I finally found a matching boot for my car. When it finally got here, I yanked it out of the box and slapped it straight onto my top I already had down. Snaps worked great and then... I noticed the greasy film I had on my hands and when I took the perfectly fitting boot off, it had left a dirty residue on the headliner.
BAH!

Anybody know how to clean oily residue off of upholstry? Now I need to clean not only the underside of the boot, but my headliner as well.
I also have a brand new canvas top, but when I put the top down, it rubs on the plastic rim next to the trunk and leaves a black smudge on my beige top. Clearly, I need to clean my top AND get whatever off of that plastic piece.
Suggestions?
