WTF?!?!? what was that?
This is a skit from a ABC -TV  show called "Hee Haw". A funny as hell show that ran from '69-'92 sorta like the Grand Ole Opry  . From left to right is Roy Clark, Grandpa Jones, Gordie Tapp, Archie Campbell.  Archie Campbell worked in radio here in  Chattanooga for years.
Have you ever heard the numbers BR-549 ?   Jr Samples Ph. number on the TV show. This show only had a weekly 30 Mil viewers for years and is miles ahead of crappy shows like "Dancing with the stars" , "American Idol ".
Minny Pearl( Sara Cannon) was on the show also.

I wouldn't be shocked to find out that SC had bought a car or 12 from Jr.   ;D

Minnie Pearl (Sarah Cannon) was good friends with Amanda's grandfather and grandmother.  Her mom says she often remembers her sitting at the breakfast table on the weekends.... Her grandfather served as the art director for Opryland theme park, and before that was a program director with WSM (?) in Nashville, the ones that broadcated the Grand ol Opry.

To clarify, back then, he worked in the radio station's studio that did the broadcast, not at the Opry.  He was in the glass box.  I need to have an open trunk some time when i go up to Nashville.  Her nanny has a bunch of the old vinyl from those days to give me for my restored RCA stereo.   8)

When was that?  I might of been listening to you on a 9 volt battery powered transistor radio if it was the late 60's or early 70's.  Good stuff.  Good stuff.   8)

Hee Haw.  I went out and tackled the starter again.  I can remove and install a saab starter in 9.3 minutes now.  Practice makes perfect.   What I did wrong was installed the solenoid backwards.  On the solenoid,  the solenoid post that should be to the battery was turned and connected to the starter motor,  So I burned out the solenoid that I got off ebay.  40 bucks up in smoke.  Turns out the one I thought was bad was good,.

Somebody  ,Please take these wrenches away from me.
Sounds like a Hee Haw  song  SC

I didn't realized the Hee Haw thread was about a weak starter. Please use the search function:
