Don't give him any ideas . . . my Allison fund is up to $10 now. If I can get him to hold on to it for another 30 or 40 years, I'll be able to buy it!

I vaugly remember my dad tearing apart an old chevy engine when I was a kid (this would have been an early 50's engine he was rebuilding in the mid 60's). I may be dreaming, but I'm thinking he had the rods sent to a machine shop and machined for bearing inserts. Am I dreaming that up, or is it something that might have really happened?
