I assume it's a modern glued in windshield?  If so, leave it to the experts.  I put a used windshield in my S-10 when I first got it.  28 bucks for the used glass at pull-a-part, 15 bucks for the goo . . . it's not "glue" . . . glue dries.  This stuff is more like nasty super sticky tar that can't be cleaned off of anything it gets on . . . and it gets on everything!  Soooo . . . after spending almost 45 bucks I had a mess on the inside and outside of the truck (not just the goo, I had shards of broken glass all over the dash, carpet and seat covers).  I cracked a corner of the glass I was installing, broke the trim, and it leaked at the top AND bottom.

3 years later I busted the windshield trying to get a broken limb out of my pecan tree.  I paid $141 including tax to get it replaced.  They cleaned up the mess.  I got a brand spanking new windshield with new trim, and it doesn't leak a drop.  Now I can see much better, especially at night, I don't get wet when it rains, and my carpet doesn't smell musty anymore.  I hate spending money, but that was $141 well spent.

Yep it's glued in.   The kind with the rubber seals are pretty easy!  I got to figure were to get the glass installed at.   Sc

I got my S-10 at the place next to Eurasion Auto Repair on Lee Hwy. (Next to the old McKay's Book Store).  Can't recall their name for sure . . . Glass Masters???, but they did an excellent job and got it done fast.  I finally got a call back from Safelite the day after I had mine installed.  They would have actually been a few dollars cheaper and would have come to my house to do it, but I'm happy with the price and the job the other place did.  And, if I have a problem with it, I know where they are . . .

my 2nd kid  got pulled over for something and this cop said get a new wind shield .   The Cop said we had been warned once... " curse you technology"  Since it was my other kid that had the first warning in the maroon volvo tank  he let him go.  The big tragedy was I broke a guitar string...or it rusted thru.   I went to the Lafayette guitar Shop  and noticed the triangle was  getting a new restaurant in the square  and this truck with  Binswanger Glass truck was there.  The dude quoted me 185  for the volvo glass....  This was  about 50 bucks cheaper than any one else I had tried.  woopee.  sc
