What's the backstory here? Did you get this on trade for one of the others?

I've always had a soft spot for suburbans. We got one shortly after I was born (tan and brown GMC) and then traded it in on a Vixen motorhome (google it- bmw turbo diesel, Renault 5 speed trans with all sorts of other mismatched parts- it even fit in the garage!) That motorhome lasted about 10 months before it was sold and we got another Suburban- red and grey this time. I broke my collar bone falling out of that one. It went bye-bye when dad got a crazy idea and bought a limo from a dealer in Vegas ( ??? ). It was the family truckster until we got a 95 Choo Choo custom 'burb. That one hauled us all over the place. We saw Niagara Falls and tons of beach trips. Traded it for a 2003 Escalade...which met its demise a week before the tornados when a tree fell and crushed it perfectly from A pillar to D pillar. They bought a Ford Flex to replace it... not sure they will go back (but history says they will!).

Is it a 2500/1500?  Know anything on the history?  These old chevys are tough trucks.

It has the 8 lug axles, so its probably the 3/4 ton. Plus it has the 454 which makes me believe its the bigger beast!

The only problem I know of is the leak on the trans,  the transfer case has to come out to replace it
