The rear torsion was out of a 72 bus.

Thanks.  Everything will work out fine . . . no matter how it works out.  We were seconds away from having to plan some funerals.  Joy's cousin and his wife were asleep in this motorhome when the fire broke out.  The motorhome was about 3 feet off the back wall of the garage.  When the fire started getting intense, it blew out a window and the flames went up the side of the motorhome.  He woke up from the sound and was able to get it started and pull away from the garage just as it started filling the inside full of toxic fumes.  The first policeman on the scene chased him down on foot and put the fire out with a small extinguisher.  There is no visible damage inside, but it reeks with a chemical smell.  Their insurance company had it towed to Camping World . . . I still haven't heard if they are going to repair it or total it.

I'm still trying to figure out how my 1950 Johnson outboard survived.  The sawhorse it was sitting on was right up against the garage wall. . . . the motor was almost touching the wall.  You can see in the close-up, the sawhorse itself burnt right up to the motor.  The rubber handgrip on the tiller got a little crispy near the end and the original crank handle is charred pretty bad.  I haven't messed with it much, but I pulled it out of the rubble and set it across the tailgate of my S-10 and pulled the rope . . . it still turns over and has good compression.  I pulled the rope 5 or 6 times and it never fired, but I'm not sure it had enough gas to fill the carb left in it.  It's a little worse for the wear, but I am amazed it still exist!

I'm sure the red green show could salvage that motorhome! I'm glad you didn't lose any key pieces to the Passapup! That still could happen!

Well, I had planned on donating a big pile of rods to the cause for next year's trophies, but apparently someone thought they needed them worse than I did.  All of the crankshafts, rods and flywheels are no longer out there.  Also missing is my key machine and an antique slide projector I had pulled from the rubble, but had not photographed yet.   >:(
