Xmas drive

I know at the last meeting we discussed a christmas project for our club to participate in and we felt it might be too late this year to arrange something.  I came into work this morning and read this email.  The 40 member church of my co-worker, Wanda Jones, is doing a wonderful misson for christmas to help families in great need.  Please read the following email she sent me and contact me if you'd like to donate anything.  I'd be happy to pick things up or you can bring them when we meet for the food drive on 12/10/03.  They are leaving with the donated items on 12/12/03.

'I know at Christmas we are all confronted about donating this and that and buying for different people, therefore spending a lot of money.  I just wanted to take the time to share with you an event that our church has agreed to sponsor and be a part of this year.  It is called the Appalachian Outreach Program.  On the 13th of December we will be participating in a gift giving in the hills of Hazard Kentucky, for families that have literally NOTHING!   We are collecting new and gently used toys, blankets, coats, canned food and about anything that anybody wants to donate.  New stuffed animals and even toothbrushes and toothpaste have been asked for, by some of the families that we are sponsoring.  Our church members are have bought 30 new bicycles for the kids,  we have put together a food drive for their youth group and are donating toys.  If any of you have new or gently used coats, sweaters, toys or anything that  you are fixing to give to goodwill or discard in any way, and would like to share with us in this, I know it would be greatly appreciated, and that God will bless you for it.  Thanks  guys !!!
Matthew 25:40  And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.'
