I'm thinking if people would just chill, smoke some dope and take care of their own house life would be much better. I'm a little young for Woodstock but seemd like it was a laid back time when people loved themselves and each other.

I was around then(not at Woodstock). I did have a lot of kicks and giggles but most of that love and peace stuff was just a bunch of lip service. They'd take your dope and your hippie-chick if you wern't watching. "If it feels good, do it" didn't usually apply to earning an honest living. VW's and CSN&Y were the coolest things at Woodstock...and that big bathtub/lake!!!

Whats really strange is that all the "Hippy " dudes and chicks are now grown up and are now our fearless leaders at Gov., city, states levels.  CSN and sometimes Y along with the rolling junk Bus/Bugs ?   What could have been better ? I had a blast !! :hippy2:  :usa2:

Some of the Hippies stayed Hippies . . . and are still around to tell about it.

I was born 30 years too late.  I would have appreciated it.  I definately think I am a 60's hippie trapped in a gen-x ers body.   There was a woodstock in 94 and I was too damn young for it too:(  More people should toke up and I think there would be a lot less violence and hatred in this world.  :rr:

Zin's Woodstock video (the guy hitting the roach) reminded of one of the many crazy "situations" that I was a part of. A bunch of us were sitting in a buddy's Chevy hippe van...taking medicine. My friend was sucking on a big giant roach and sucked it right down his throat! It was dark in the van and I actually saw his neck light up for a second. We all nearly choked to death (us laughing, him with a hot doobage in his gizzard)!!! No kidding, he nearly died because us bunch of long-haired, little boy hippies were too stoned to realize what kind of trouble he was in. Man, I'm laughing out loud right now.
We're still good friends but he never has been able to see the humor in it.
