I feel your pain SC . . . even though it isn't what you need, it's hard to pass up a deal while you are there!  I doubt the horns I got off that 1950 Plymoth Special Deluxe will ever fix any of my cars, but they were just sitting there, begging to go home with me . . .

Update,  Driving Stupie.  Man I neeed some tires,  chevy seems to be fixed. .  On the chevy.  I changed the crank pos sensor and the front oil seal.  put it back together ... Then changed oil and forgot to  replace oil plug.  Clean oil went thru engine into catch pan full of dirty oil.  I am thinking of running the oil thru a coffie filter to reclaim it.  I quit.  SC

I think that's a great idea, it seems so much easier than going to the store and buying another 4 quarts of oil......

Been there, done that!  I was 16 and was changing the oil my 64 Buick . . . only I had already pulled the catch pan from under the car.  5 quarts of oil went on the ground . . . I was at home by myself and my back up transportation (an old 10 speed bike) had a flat.  I had to walk 4 miles to the parts store to get some more.

Search youtube for his "power windows"  . . . The hard part is finding a cordless mixer, but if you get an inverter, you can use a cheap one from the dollar store.   ;D

I've aways enjoyed his simple solutions to complex provelms. The headlight repair is pretty simple. He has some good Handyman's Corner episodes
