VW history for today

:o I guess our site doesn't know that the 2,000,000th Transporter was made today in 1968, or at least it is not on the VW History or Event calendar that is on the front page of the site.

Russ has made the site as "smart" as possible.  Still, at best, computers can only tell the differance between a 1 and a 0.  Anything more than that you have to tell 'em.

If you know of anything like this that would be appropriate for "This day in VW History" let Russ know so he can "tell" the web site about it (Russ speaks Binary fluently).  After all there are only 10 kinds of people; Those that understand binary numbers and those that don't!

I might know some more.  I'm just not sure if it would be easier for me to send him all the dates I have so he can decipher what is already set up or if he would send me a list of all the dates and history events and just let me send him the ones that I have that isn't already set up on the front page. :?:    :?:

There's a thread about this feature in the club only section.  It's under the general discussion forum . . . just scroll down til you see it.  I added the 2,000,000th transporter for today.  There are links in the thread I mentioned that let you look at all of the info we have (Charlton had collected most of what's there to get us started).  There is also a link where you can add to the list.

Please add as much as you can. We need all the historical facts we can get. Thanks.

I think Charlton's idea for collecting all of this was to do a daily VW calendar. I think that's a great idea and maybe we can do that, if we get enough dates.

Binary is for amateurs. I speak in hexadecimal now. I guess that makes 3 types of people.

Isn't hexadecimal just binary only your saying a bunch of words at once?
