Here's a link to an article about a 15,000 lb. bomb we are using in Afghanistan.  It seems the Beetle is a unit of measure now.

Hey, I've got an idea!  Instead of Beetle-sized bombs, how about parachuting Beetle-sized Beetles in there!  The terrorists will come out of hiding just to see the infidel's funny-looking car!  Then we can hit them with connecting rods until they give up.

The BLU-82 is a 15,000-pound bomb that is the size of a Volkswagen Beetle and was first used in Vietnam to clear landing zones in the jungle. Dropped by parachute, the BLU-82 uses a sensor to detonate before hitting the ground and wipes out everything in a 600-yard radius.
